Mission Statement:Student Court Reporters & Captioners Association (SCRCA) educates members about Realtime Reporting (court reporting and closed captioning) as a profession and provides support and encouragement among fellow reporting students. All Realtime Reporting students may join.

Our Goals:
- To have an organization of Realtime Reporting students to supplement the learning and goals of the classroom environment.
- To conduct seminars and clinics in order to broaden the students' knowledge of Realtime Reporting.
- To establish contacts with working reporters.
- To familiarize new students with terminology and technology involved in reporting.
- To be informed regarding changes in the field of Realtime Reporting.
- To encourage participation in professional organizations.
- To encourage service to others.
Activities:
- Monthly meetings with guest speakers in the Realtime field
- Attendance at the Iowa Court Reporters Association Conventions
- Attendance at the National Court Reporters Association Conventions
- Monthly Real Times newsletters with announcements/celebrations
- Picnics and holiday parties
