Mission Statement:
AIB knows that campus diversity enriches the lives of all students. Pride Alliance provides a safe, confidential and supportive social setting for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students and straight allies. Additionally, we strive to:
· Foster diversity and acceptance
· Learn about LGBT culture, history, issues and organizations
· Get involved with fun activities on- and off-campus
Activities:
· Walking in Des Moines’ PrideFest Parade
· Participating in Iowa’s annual Gay-Straight Alliance Conference
· Attending LGBT professional networking events
· Sponsoring on-campus speakers
· Going to Gay Day at Adventureland
· Co-sponsoring AIB’s annual Fine Arts Contest
