AIB College of Business is pleased to offer scholarships and grants for Associate and Bachelor degree seeking students during the academic year. AIB allocates scholarship and grant funds to students in an amount up to $18,400 per student.
Founder's Scholarship
Full tuition scholarship - $4,600 per term (Up to $18,400/year)
Named after Everett O. Fenton, founder of AIB College of Business in 1921.
AIB will offer up to five Founder's Scholarships per year.
Qualifications:
- First-year students that meet the scholarship requirements and attend AIB immediately after high school (following fall term).
- Apply and be accepted to AIB no later than February 3.
- Complete FAFSA and AIB Institutional Aid Application no later than February 3.
- Attend AIB Founder's Scholarship Day. Participants must complete an essay and interview as part of the scholarship competition.
- 3.75 cumulative GPA and top 10% of HS class OR 3.75 cumulative GPA and 27 or higher ACT
Renewable: Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
Honors Scholarship
$1,500 max per term (Up to $6,000/year) for full-time students
$500 max per term for part-time students (9.0 quarter hours)
Qualifications:
- 3.50 cumulative GPA and top 25% of HS class
- OR 3.50 cumulative GPA and 25 or higher ACT
- OR For those transferring in 12 or more college credits the cumulative GPA will be used.
Renewable: Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
Eagles Scholarship
$1,000 max per term
(Up to $4,000/year) for full-time students
$250 per term for part-time students (9.0 quarter hours)
Qualifications:
- 3.0 cumulative GPA and top 50%
- OR 3.0 cumulative GPA and 20 or higher ACT
- OR For those transferring in 12 or more college credits the cumulative GPA will be used.
Renewable: Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
AIB Scholarship
$750 max per term for full-time students
Qualifications:
- 2.5 to 2.99 cumulative high school GPA
- For those transferring in 12 or more college credits, the cumulative college GPA will be used
Renewable: Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
Non-Traditional Grant
$1,000 max per term for full-time students
$500 max per term for part-time students (9.0 quarter hours)
This Non-Traditional Grant is based on financial need.
Qualifications:
- 24 years or older and have 12 or fewer college credits
- OR Earned a GED equivalency and have 12 or fewer college credits.
Renewable: Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
E.O. Fenton Alumni and Family Housing Grant
$250 max per term, up to $1,000 per year
Qualifications:
- Must reside in on-campus housing
- Parent/step-parent/grandparent/sibling/step-sibling/spouse/child/step-child is either a current AIB student or AIB alumni
Renewable: Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA; reside in on-campus housing
Monroe Colston Diversity Leadership Grant
$1,000 max towards tuition per term for full-time students
AIB will offer up to 15 Monroe Colston Diversity Leadership Grants per academic year to incoming students who are from diverse backgrounds and are U.S. residents. AIB is committed to fostering an environment that encourages inclusion of diverse backgrounds, including people of different ages, disabilities, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, genders, health conditions, national origins, races, religions, sexual orientation or gender identities.
The grant is available to full-time students for tuition and is awarded each Fall Term. The Monroe Colston Diversity Leadership Grants are competitive and require an application.
Qualifications:
- Apply and be accepted for admission by July 1.
- Complete the financial aid process by July 1.
- Complete the Monroe Colston Diversity Leadership Grant application by July 1.
Factors that will be considered include:
- Examples of community service efforts demonstrated by volunteer work that positively affected community diversity.
- Examples of leadership involvement and/or potential.
- Candidate’s diversity characteristics and background.
Renewable: Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
The Monroe Colston Diversity Leadership Committee will review all applicants and determine the grant recipients.

The Bachelor's version of the Founder's Scholarship is a continuation of the Associate Degree Founder's Scholarship and is given to those students who immediately continue on to the Bachelor's Degree program.

- 2.5 cumulative GPA based on associate degree (or highest degree obtained)
Renewable: Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
AIB and Transfer: 3.5 cumulative GPA: $500 max per term for full-time students
PTK Members: 3.5 cumulative GPA: $250 max per term for part-time students (9.0 quarter hours)
Qualifications:
- The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship is open to previously active members of PTK who have completed an Associate's degree from AIB or an accredited college/university and attend AIB immediately after completion of said degree.
- Students may receive this scholarship in addition to one of the aforementioned merit scholarships/grants, not to exceed the tuition cost per term.
