Sports & Event Management Degree

AIB’s Sports and Event Management program is a focused business major that includes study of topics such as operations, marketing, finance, legal issues, promotion, advertising, sales, management of sports programs, sports activities, events and facilities. Graduates from the program will be prepared to seek entry-level positions in sports information, facilities management, sporting goods sales, retail sporting goods management, community sports program management, sports marketing, sports administration, event marketing and management, sports and event promotions, corporate sales for sports and events, public relations, fitness and recreation club management, resort and tourism management, nonprofit management and many other sports- and event-related positions.

  • An Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in this major can be completed through day classes.  Curriculum specific to this major begins only in the fall term.
  • This major can be completed in seven terms by earning 18 quarter credit hours per term.
  • Upon successful completion of an Associate degree, students may continue work at AIB toward a Bachelor of Science degree program in either Accounting or Business Administration.
