   * All costs and fees are subject to change. All tuition, housing, and other fees are due on or before the first day of each term. Students must remit payment, provide proof of program assistance, or complete a payment agreement with 1/3 of total costs received before beginning classes.
 
TUITION
Tuition for full-time students (3 or 4 classes) is $4,300 per term. Students enrolled in 2 classes or less will be charged at the rate of $1,075 per class. Students enrolled in more than 4 classes will be charged for each additional class at the rate of $1,075.
 
TUITION DEPOSIT
A $50 student tuition deposit is due within 10 days following the student’s notification of acceptance. A re-entry student tuition deposit of $25 is due within ten days following the student’s notification of re-acceptance. Deposits are applied toward tuition during the first term of enrollment and are refundable if the College is notified of cancellation by May 1 for fall term start dates or 30 days prior to winter, spring, or summer start dates.
 
HOUSING
The residence housing fee varies according to the living arrangements for resident (see front page). The applicable fee covers from the day prior to the beginning of the term until the day after the term ends. The housing fee includes gas heat, water, basic cable, local phone, and high speed internet service. Electricity is included for Fenton Hall only. Residents of all other residence halls are required to pay their own electricity billed by the College based on usage.
 
HOUSING DEPOSIT
A $200 housing reservation deposit is due within 45 days of acceptance. The deposit is refundable if the College is notified of cancellation by May 1 for fall term start dates or 30 days prior to winter, spring, or summer start dates. A refund is made only if the cancellation notice applies to the initial enrollment date.
 
PAYMENT OF STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Payments for tuition, housing, and fees are due on or before the first day of each term. Balances must be covered by some means of financial aid or other documented assistance by the first day of each term. If these items are not in place, the student will be required to pay the account balance in full OR to request a payment plan with a $25 service fee assessed and the first 1/3 of the balance due to be paid in order to begin attending classes. AIB accepts checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
 
PARKING FEE
All motor vehicles, including motorcycles, require an AIB parking permit. A permit to park on campus may be purchased at the Eagle’s Landing Bookstore for $25 per term. Unregistered vehicles are subject to parking tickets or being towed away at the owner’s expense. Free parking is available on some streets near the campus. Students should have appropriate insurance coverage. The College is not responsible for any damage or theft that might occur while student vehicles are parked on campus.
 
TECHNOLOGY FEE
All students are required to pay a $70 technology fee each term.
 
ACTIVITIES FEE
All students are required to pay both a $7 activities fee each term and a $3 Student Government fee each term.
 
GRADUATION FEE
All students are required to pay a $60 graduation fee at the beginning of their final terms of enrollment for both the associate’s and bachelor’s degrees.
 
BOOKS AND SUPPLIES
Books and college supplies purchased at the AIB Eagle’s Landing Bookstore cost approximately $400 per term for full-time students. However, depending on the number and type of classes in which the student is enrolled, the cost can vary. Book buy back is offered at the end of each term. Used books may be available. Online students will incur shipping costs.
 
COURSE SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Various courses of study require specific equipment. Equipment expense is an addition to tuition and fee costs and is the responsibility of the student. Equipment costs may change based upon cost changes by the suppliers.
 
STENO TRANSCRIPTION EQUIPMENT
  • Stenograph Machine Rental & Deposit: Students enrolled in Steno Transcription classes may rent a Stenograph machine from the Eagle’s Landing Bookstore for $150 per term. A $200 deposit is required at the time the machine is received.
  • Stenograph Machine Rent/Purchase: Students may rent a steno machine throughout the Steno Transcription Services major (Speed II) but need to purchase one once they go into the bachelor’s program (Speeds III through V). More information is available about the various machine options from the Eagle’s Landing Bookstore and/or the Court Reporting and Captioning faculty.
  • Notebook Leasing Program: Students enrolled in Steno Transcription classes are required to participate in the AIB Notebook Leasing Program. This program is required to assure proper specifications of the notebooks (laptop computers) are met and to offer on-campus technical support for equipment repairs. The cost of this program is $550 for the 1st term and $275 each of the 2nd through 6th terms for a total of $1,925 with a $1 buyout option available at the end of the lease.

This program is required to assure proper specifications of the notebooks (laptop computers) are met and to offer on-campus technical support for equipment repairs. The cost of this program is $550 for the 1st term and $275 each of the 2nd through 6th terms for a total of $1,925 with a $1 buyout option available at the end of the lease.
  • Voice Captioning Required Technology: In addition to the notebook, students enrolled in Voice Transcription are required to purchase additional equipment and software over the course of their enrollment in the approximate amount of $1,000. Online students will incur shipping costs.
