AIB to Start Women’s Basketball
Des Moines, IA – AIB College of Business in Des Moines has announced it will start intercollegiate women’s basketball starting fall 2007. The college has been accepted into the Iowa Community College Athletic Association and is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. "AIB has a rich history of women's basketball," said Jane Weingart, chair of the AIB College of Business board. "In the 30s and 40s, the AIB women's basketball team was a powerhouse in AAU basketball throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada."
