Future Students:
Earning a business degree provides graduates with many career choices for their futures. For 88 years, AIB has been providing educational opportunities that prepare students to build careers in business. Our practical approach to higher education combines formal learning with direct applications in classes and in the workplace. Students may choose to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree or a Bachelor of Science degree by attending day, evening or online classes. In addition to many degree options, the College is conveniently located in Des Moines, the capital city of Iowa, allowing for formal internships and part-time career opportunities for students.
We believe that students who graduate from AIB College of Business should be able to demonstrate certain professional and academic abilities. The AIB faculty is comprised of outstanding professionals in their field who are willing to help students develop these abilities in a friendly and supporting environment. Students will gain both the practical and theoretical skills which are taught and measured throughout all AIB academic programs. Skills such as leadership, problem solving, teamwork, interpersonal, and oral and written communications are practiced in each of the majors. Volunteering through formal service learning opportunities educates students in the practice of sharing their knowledge with others. The importance of high ethics and values are emphasized to students as they are prepared to be future business leaders.
AIB recently added intercollegiate athletics to enhance the campus experience. Women’s basketball made a return to AIB after more than 50 years and men's and women's golf began Fall 2008. We are excited about the Eagle Spirit that is catching on quickly across campus and in our community.
Plan to take time to learn more about AIB by visiting our campus. Group visit days, personal appointments, and special career days are available throughout the year. I look forward to meeting you on campus!
Sincerely,
Nancy Williams
